ADSL

Posted by wartin on July 17, 2007

Man, are there a lot of choices for ADSL or what? I wanted to get ADSL for my house, thinking that all I would have to do is choose what cap I would like and that would be that. But no. Nothing in life is quite that simple. Maybe it’s just me.

After figuring out everything I finally ordered my ADSL. A week later I get a call from Telkom saying that I could now install my router and connect to the internet. So I installed everything and what do you know? It doesn’t work. So after calling them several times and waiting for about an hour they finally tell me that there must be a problem with the exchange and will take 3 working days to fix.

Advanced Wars

Posted by wartin on July 17, 2007

This is an excellent game. I loved it’s predecessors and I love this one even more. The touch screen changes the gaming experience quite a bit. There are new units, new skills and new commanders. The graphics and animation is the same as the previous games and I wouldn’t have it any other way.

You can connect via wifi and challenge friends and family who also have the game.

Trauma Center : Under The Knife

Posted by wartin on July 17, 2007

Pretty good game. Utilizes the touch screen quite a bit. The only problem I had with this game is it’s difficulty. The first couple of missions are nice and slow, teaching you how to play the game with a couple of solo missions, but then theres this huge leap in difficulty and unless ur really persistent and play this game often I doubt u’ll get anywhere.

Elite Beat Agents

This game is a lot of fun. Using the touch screen, you tap, slide and spin objects on the screen in time with the music. The music is ok, the animations are funny. If you are concerned about not being able to see the animations while you’re tapping, sliding and spinning, have no fear, because after you finish a stage there is a replay button that lets you sit back and watch the whole stage with all your taps, slides and spins. You can also save the replays to play at a later time.

Animal Crossing

Posted by wartin on July 17, 2007

I think Animal Crossing was developed for people who just had nothing to do for about 15 to 30 minutes. There is no real point to this game other than to waste time. You go around this little town collecting, buying and selling things, aswell as writing letters or having conversations with NPC’s. You can fish, dig up fossils, catch butterfly’s, buy furniture, design clothes and plant flowers. Any fish you catch or fossils you dig up or butterfly’s you catch you can donate to the museum where, whatever you donate, is displayed. Fish are kept in an aquarium, fossils are put together on a display stand eventually building into a dinosaur and butterfly’s … well I haven’t caught a butterfly yet so I don’t really know what they do with them.

You can also connect via wifi to friends who also have this game ans swop any spare fossils or butterflies or fish that you have. You can even visit your friends town and waste time there.
